Mr. Phillip Scott-Smith was approached by L Sullivan to trial and comment on the new product to stabilize hard hats, namely  “Safe-Mate” Mr. Scott-Smith was impressed with the prototype band and has continued to use it ever since and he wrote this testimonial.

"I was working underground air-legging ground support, whilst a hole at about 80 degrees was being bored above me; a large rock (approx 25KG) dislodged itself above me behind the ventilation unit. It landed on the front of my hard hat, smashed and dislodged the cap lamp and my right ear muff. A second rock fell and landed directly on top of my hard hat. The rock left me dazed. I was in no doubt that the first rock would have removed my hard hat if I wasn't using the SAFE-MATE.

Because I was wearing the “Safe-Mate” the hat gripped my head, saving me from further injury from the second rock”.
